What’s more, it is a numbers matching car! The 2.7L magnesium flat 6-cylinder engine runs very strong and was rebuilt 2,000 miles ago. It is mated to a smooth 5-speed manual transmission. The motor was rated as 175hp from the factory. A custom exhaust makes an unbelievably beautiful note. Why is this Targa so special? The owner had air conditioning installed making this a very comfortable driving experience. It was recently converted to R134 and blows cold. The interior was redone including the seats being reskinned, the carpets replaced, and door panels replaced. It turned out fantastic! If you notice the rear deck spoiler, it looks different than stock. That is because this “whale tail” is from a different generation Porsche 911. It’s a very nice touch on this classic 911S.
