Porsche 911 Early LWB 2.2 S MFI (911/02) concours condition, zustandsnot 1969

General description : Acquired by the Allgemeine Spreng und Tauchgesellschaft on 13th November 1969 from Autohaus Winter in Berlin. This is a rare 1970`s version of the 2.2 S. of which only 1734 were ever produced. It is powered by the 2.2 MFI, 178 bhp (911/02) ‘matching numbers’ engine. It has manual fuel Injection, 5-gear transmission and aluminum boot lid and middle rear bumper section. With a certified 152,525 km on the clock over a 48-year period, this car comes with a rich history that has been documented from the sale in 1969 right up to 24th September 2017! There is an abundance of correspondence with Porsche, bills, and even the first German ‘Kraftfahrzeugbrief Kfz’! A member of the USAF, who kept the car for the next 32 years, exported it to the USA in 1975. In 1997 the car was exported to Holland. From 2005-2006 an approved German Porsche specialist fully restored the car to its` current concourse condition. The complete restoration comes with a written and photographic rapport. Since the restoration the car has only clocked up 7,000 km. The arrow-straight bodywork has perfect panel fittings. The chassis is colour-coded. The finish is a customized so-called ‘Sonderenwunschfarbe 9898’ known as ‘Traffic Red’. The cabin has a wonderful patina with its` original black leather trim and is just perfectly authentic in every detail! It also comes with a number of factory fitted additions such as; chrome rims and a full leather interior (including the steering wheel). The car has a plethora of certificates. It has a Porsche certificate, a ‘Gesamtzustand 1’(1st class overall condition certification) after an extensive Classic Data inspection as well as a FIVA Passport in category A3.

About Porsche 911 Early LWB
The early Porsche 911 long wheelbase models, also known as the "L" models, were produced from 1968 to 1973. They were named so because of their longer wheelbase, which increased by 2.4 inches from the previous models. The longer wheelbase provided a smoother and more stable ride, and also allowed for more interior space.

The long wheelbase models were powered by air-cooled, flat-six engines, with displacement ranging from 2.0L to 2.4L. They were available in coupe and Targa body styles, and were equipped with a five-speed manual transmission. Notable features of the long wheelbase 911s include their distinctive "ducktail" rear spoiler and Fuchs alloy wheels.

These early 911s are highly sought after by collectors and enthusiasts, pure as swb cars but easier to drive and handling better.
