The 928, produced from 1978 to 1995, was originally intended to be Porsche’s flagship model over the 911. The thought was to combine the high performance of a sports car with the refinement of a luxury sedan in a market where regulations were becoming increasingly stringent. Interestingly, the 928 was the only V8 powered coupe ever produced by Porsche, making for a very special car. This numbers matching 928 S4 is powered by a 5.0L V8 that is estimated about 316hp from the factory. This is mated to a 4-speed automatic transmission. This engine packs quite a punch and the transmission shifts smoothly.
