De Triumph Herald is een kleine tweedeursauto, geïntroduceerd door de Standard-Triumph Company uit Coventry in 1959 en werd gemaakt tot 1971. Het ontwerp van de body was van de Italiaanse stylist Giovanni Michelotti, en de auto werd aangeboden in salon, cabriolet en coupé modellen. De totale verkoop van Herald is ruim een half miljoen. In oktober 1967 werd het assortiment bijgewerkt op de London Motor Show met de Herald 13/60. De 13/60 werd aangeboden in sedan, cabrio en estate versies. Het zonnedak bleef beschikbaar voor de salon als een optionele extra in plaats van een standaardfunctie. De voorkant werd gerestyled met behulp van een motorkap die lijkt op de Triumph Vitesse en het interieur is aanzienlijk herzien, maar heeft nog steeds het houten dashboard. De binnenruimte werd verbeterd door een achterste armsteun in elk zijpaneel in te bouwen. De motor werd vergroot tot 1296 cc, in feite de sinds 1965 gebruikte eenheid in de Triumph 1300, uitgerust met een Stromberg CD150 carburateur, die 61 pk (45 kW) en sterk verbeterde prestaties biedt. In 1971 was deze auto zwaar verouderd qua stijl en zelfs prestaties maar de auto werd nog steeds redelijk goed verkocht, maar vanwege de arbeidsintensieve manier van bouwen werd het met verlies verkocht.
