We are pleased to present this one-owner 1993 Alfa Romeo Spider Veloce with 18,531 actual miles. Nineteen ninety-three marked the final year for the original Spider roadsters, which began in 1966.Produced in April 1993 in Italy, this car arrived on June 15, 1993 at the Port of Newark, New Jersey and was delivered to the W. C. Motor Co., Inc. in St. Louis, Missouri on June 21, 1993. It came standard with the following equipment - 2.0L DOHC four-cylinder engine with Bosch Motronic multi-point fuel injection, five-speed manual transmission, driver's side airbag, power steering, power four-wheel disc brakes, AM/FM stereo with cassette, power antenna, leather reclining seats, leather-wrapped steering wheel, power windows, dual power outside mirrors, remote locking decklid and fuel filler door releases, soft cloth convertible top, P195/60HR15 tires and 15-inch light alloy wheels. An M compact disc player with 12-disc changer (in trunk) was the only option.Dressed in its original Arctic White paint with a black pinstripe, the car's original paint in very good condition after being garaged for most of the past 13 years. The original black cloth folding top is in similar fine condition. The car's power antenna and the right side reverse light are inoperable but the glass panels and vehicle lights are in great shape, as are the body-color bumpers and the car's body panels. Car rolls on 195/60R15 tires with the factory alloy wheels. A battery disconnect key was installed in 2005 to prevent non-starting situations.Inside, the black leather bucket seats are in excellent and un-restored condition, as is the matching carpet. The instrument panel is crack-free and still looks new. The four-spoke steering wheel with driver's airbag is in fine order, as are the door panels, mirrors, center console and gear shift lever. Car has full instrumentation that is operational. The trunk and fuel filler door release levers are on the driver's side door jamb. Completing the interior is a Sony AM/FM stereo with CD player and detachable faceplate (in glovebox). The original CD changer is still in the trunk but is disconnected.The original owner leased the car for a three-year term beginning on March 14, 1994 with 4,602 miles on the clock. She had the following maintenance performed (copies of the maintenance receipts are included to back up this information) - oil, lube and filter change on April 7, 1994 at 4,814 miles; another OLF change plus replaced fuel filter and changed wiper blades on April 4, 1995 at 7,515 miles; on July 27, 1995, replaced engine air filter; state inspection on March 15, 1996 with 8,768 miles on the clock; OLF change, tire rotation, adjusted front wheel bearings on May 3, 1996; owner purchased car at end of lease on February 28, 1997 with 10,230 miles on the clock, which matches data shown on car's title; replaced CHMSL bulb to complete with state inspection on March 4, 1997 with 10,278 miles on the clock; OLF, new fuel filter and a coolant flush was done on April 30, 1997; replaced emergency flasher switch to comply with state inspection on March 12, 1998 at 12,441 miles; OLF, new fuel filter, repaired squeaky speedometer/odometer that worked intermittently on June 1, 1998; state inspection on March 7, 1999 at 13,377 miles; OLF and new spark plugs on July 16, 1999; state inspection on December 30, 1999 at 14,382 miles.She had another OLF done, new fuel filter, engine air filter, wiper blades, spark plugs, distributor cap and rotor and valve clearances checked on May 30, 2000; state inspection on March 14, 2001 at 15,607 miles; mounted and balanced five new Pirelli P6000 Sport Veloce tires on August 29, 2001 at approximately 16,000 miles; removed/cleaned cylinder head, replaced valves/guides, motor mounts, coolant flushed, new hoses, thermostat, drive belts, OLF, new spark plugs on June 21, 2002 at approximately 16,400 miles.From 2003, with 16,906 miles on it, until 2016, the car was garaged and rarely driven. It was inspected bi-annually from 2003, with the most recent one on March 20, 2015 with 18,462 miles on the clock. Maintenance performed during this time included an OLF, new battery and cables and battery disconnect key installed on August 10, 2005 at 17,567 miles; balance all four tires on car in November 2012 with ~18,3xx miles on car, repaired windshield divot on December 3, 2012; new battery on March 17, 2015 and OLF on September 26, 2016. The original owner put 13,875 miles on the car over a 13-year period.In 1990, the primary mechanical change was that the Spider received Bosch Motronic electronic fuel injection with an electric fan.Externally, the Spider lost its front under-bumper and rear trunk-lid spoilers and picked up164-style rear lights stretching across the width of the car as well as plastic bumpers the same color as the car. This also marked the first generation of this car withautomatic transmission, as well ason-board diagnosticscapabilities.In North America, the styling changes did not appear until the 1991 model year. Power steering, larger knee bolsters and a driver-side airbag also appeared as standard for North American market Spiders, which were available in two configurations: Spider and Spider Veloce. Primary differences were in standard equipment: the Veloce substituted leather seats for the base model's vinyl; 15" alloy wheels were one size up from the standard steel wheels with hubcaps; and air-conditioning and a cloth top were standard.
