Introduced in 1967 at the Paris Auto Salon, the 365 GT 2+2 represented advances for Ferrari and their GT 2+2 models. A true gentleman's sports car it came with refinements which made it quieter, smoother and more comfortable over the previous model, the 330 GT 2+2. Its low-slung fastback design resembles the 365 California and a more sweeping roofline than the preceding 330 GT 2+2. It is an attractive car that carried on the subtle elegance which characterized Ferrari’s luxury offerings. The European market cars featured clear headlight fairings, but these were removed for U.S. deliveries due to the previously mentioned federal regulations. A most uncommon feature on the 365 GT 2+2 was the use of a very high strength translucent plastic to cover the turn indicator lights that are integrated into the front bumpers.

This 1969 Ferrari 365 GT 2+2 Coupe is a beautiful example finished in desirable solid Nero black with stunning tan leather interior. Originally delivered in 1969 to a Ferrari collector residing just outside of Turin, Italy, this car is one of just over 809 examples built from 1967 to 1971, which makes locating a car in this wonderful condition relatively difficult, moreover, to find one having travelled a low 41,172 kilometers. It is fitted with the prerequisite 4.4 litre 12-cylinder, 320HP engine with 3 twin Weber Carbs, 5 speed manual transmission and Ansa mufflers which accentuate the great sound these great motors generate. The interior is remarkable as it has undergone a cosmetic restoration with components being restored or replaced as necessary to achieve a high standard - all wood and leather surfaces present very nicely with little or no evidence of wear including the seats, and leather dash, which has no cracking whatsoever. The headliner is beautiful and the carpets appear to be in next-to-new condition. These cars came very well equipped with few options available - this is one of the few optioned with rare factory air conditioning. The overall body is very straight and the panel fitment is very nice as well. The non-metallic solid black paint is in very nice condition. It has been wet sanded and polished to beautiful luster. This vehicle simply looks amazing, offset with the polished Borrani wire wheels which are mounted with Michelin XWX tires. The bumpers appear to be re-chromed and as such, shine brightly, appearing as-new. All of the stainless trim pieces are very nice, free of any dents or damage, and in very good condition.

Driving one of these "Queen Mothers," as Road & Track called them, is heightened by the sound of the car’s Weber carburetors, capable handling, four wheel disc brakes and great sounding exhaust note. This car is ready for the most astute collector, investor or enthusiast who understands and appreciates the investment potential of this great Italian motorcar.
