Fiat 500 Abarth 1970

Allmän beskrivning : Vintage and Prestige are Proud to offer the FIAT 500 Arbarth (795) For Sale.
 This is a stunning example of the iconic FIAT that as well as looking incredible also drives and hold the road like a true sports car.
As well as the Arbath conversion this car features a five-speed gearbox, disk brakes, ‘race’ shock absorbers, alloy wheels and Arbath intruments. Restored circa 1987, it was purchased by the previous owner in 1997 from Italian coachbuilder Carlo Caccaviello who had been responsible for it’s bare bodyshell restoration.
 With their Fiat 500-based 595, Arbath adopted the most cost-effectivbe method of coaxing greater power from a small engine, a new big-bore cylinder block boosting the previously 499cc air-cooled twin to 593cc.
 Higher-compression pistons, re-worked inlet ports, a special camshaft and exhaust system, and a larger carburettor helped raise power from 22 to 30hp, though the biggest gain was in mid-range torque.
Arbath’s conversion halved the standard car’s acceleration times and endowed the 595 with a top speed of more than 75mph. lowered suspension and wider wheels and tyres helped the baby Fiat utilise the increased performance.
Those still not satisfied could opt for the 595SS, with 34bhp on tap an 80mph top speed. And if that still wasn’t enough there was afurther stretch available to 695cc . This right-hand drive FIAT 500 goes further still, boasting a Gozzolli-built engine taken out to 795cc
