Talked frequently amongst owners and fans alike, the Lamborghini Miura gets recognised as one of the all time greatest designs in the elite world of classic supercars. Designed by one of the automotive greats, Marcello Gandini for Bertone, the Miura stole the show when released at the 1966 Geneva motor show and had journalists head over heals with excitement.
The ultimate production variation of the Miura, the iconic SV, was launched in 1971, offering increased performance and an improved driving experience, it’s no surprise that the SV is the most desirable of all Miura models. With just 150 cars produced, it is much rarer too than the original P400. These cars rarely come up for sale and the car we are proud to offer you today presents an unmissable opportunity.
This Miura SV was built in the first year of production in 1971 and found its way to Japan in 1976 where it remained with the same well respected collector owner until our recent acquisition. The car remained part of his large, impressive car collection until late last year, an unparalleled long term ownership of 44 years. It was originally ordered with the rarely specified option of factory air conditioning which remains with the car today. The car presents well, benefitting from an older restoration in the iconic and original factory ordered SV colour of Rosso Corsa, with the Contrasting Silver sills and Wheels. Inside, the sleek, low-slung cockpit was re-finished in leather approximately thirty years ago.
As one can imagine, driving the Miura is an extremely special experience. The 4.0 litre V12 engine produces an astonishing 385bhp, coupled with a 5-speed manual gearbox, you instantly find yourself poised in a low down, racing position, as intended with the first P400 design. This is an incredible opportunity to own an extremely rare and exquisite piece of automotive design history, not to mention a car with such brilliant, long term ownership history. Above all, offered here is an extremely rare example of the most coveted SV model.

Ferruccio, stolt ägare till flera Ferraris, fann sig missnöjd med kopplingen i sin 250 GT. Frustration drev honom rakt in i Enzo Ferraris kontor för att ventilera sina klagomål.
