000 Schmutzfänger hintenAuf den Nullzwei ließ BMW im Juli 1975 die erste Dreier-Reihe (Baureihe E21) folgen. Sie hatte eine elegantere, hinten geräumigere Zweitürer-Karosserie, eine Viertürer-Version gab es nie. Die Vergasermotoren wurden anfangs auf Normalbenzin umgestellt, die zwar in der Leistung etwas zulegten, aber an Elatizität verloren. Die stilistisch der 5er Reihe (ab 1972) angeglichenen Limousinen sahen sehr ansprechend aus - sie gewannen gegenüber den Nullzwei-Vorgängern an Stattlichkeit und Prestige, erkauft freilich durch für diese Größenklasse enorm hohe Preise. Doch wurden sie von einem großen Kreis von Kunden akzeptiert - das BMW-Image strahlte wieder in neuem Glanz.
Äußerlich waren die verschiedenen Typen nahezu identisch, jedoch besaßen der 316 und der 318 einfache, aber der 320, der 320i und der 323i Doppel-Scheinwerfer. Dazu trugen die Sechszylinder-Modelle ein Typenschild im Kühlergrill. Der 323i war als einzige Variante mit zwei Auspuffendrohren (eines auf der linken und eines auf der rechten Seite des Fahrzeughecks) ausgestattet. Zu dieser Zeit stand das "i" hinter der Zahlenkombination (z.B. 323i) noch für "Injection", also Einspritzer Modelle ohne das "i" somit nur Vergasern (z.B. 316) ausgerüstet.
Der hier von uns angebotene BMW 323i stammt aus 1.Hand, unfallfrei, keinerlei Beschädigungen und ist in weitestgehendem 1.Lack. Der Wagen wurde regelmäßig von seinem Besitzer gewartet, sämtliche Papiere wie Betriebsanleitung, Service-Heft, Händler-Nachweis und Radio-Betriebsanleitung sind vorhanden, ebenso die Originale Kaufbestellung, Originale Kaufrechnung sowie die bezahlt-Quittung. Erwänenswert ist sicherlich noch, daß in dem Fahrzeug nie geraucht wurde, der Aschenbecher sowie der Zigarettenanzünder völlig ungebraucht sind. Der BMW 323i ist heute noch ein Fahrzeug mit faszinierenden Fahrleistungen die ausgesprochene "Freude am Fahren" vermittelt. In dieser Qualität, mit diesem Zubehör und mit dieser einmaligen Historie (1.Hand, deutsches Auto, deutscher Halter, alle Papiere vorhanden) ist heute am Markt fast kein Fahrzeug mehr zu finden. Sicherlich auch ein Fahrzeug, mit hohem potenziellen Wertzuwachs.
