Ford Hi Boy 383 Stroker 1932

General description : 1932 Ford Custom Boydster Hiboy With all the 32 Fords out there it may seem tough to be unique stand out in the crowd but this beautifully built 32 Ford Hiboy does just that.  It was constructed by a Hot Rod Shop in Arizona and has been well cared for it's entire life.  It may be tough to put your finger on what exactly makes this car look different from other hiboys you have seen but something about the way it looks/sits lets you know this isn't your plain jane 32.  It always stands out and the car never fails to draw attention away from others.  After the car was initially built it was purchased by a local car collector who enjoyed it for a few years before trading it to the current owner.  The current owner has since totally redone the interior and taken it to an even higher level.  Just when you thought the car couldn't get nicer, it did.  They did an excellent job with the inside and had it totally detailed throughout.  During that process the gaps were all lined up and the car perfected.  Not to say it wasn't nice previously, because it was extremely nice.  The recent work though just really finishes it out well and it is in a better condition now than it has ever been.  The Wescott body is in great condition and is graced in a combination of White and Copper Metallic that looks stunning out in the sun.  Flames run the length of each side and offer a little more than your standard flame paint job.  The chrome windshield sits at a slight angle giving the car that streamline look even when it isn't rolling down the road.  The Boydster chassis was painted to match the White on the body making it almost vanish into the bodylines.  All of the chrome and polish on the car is in immaculate condition giving the exposed front end a great shine.  Other nice exterior components include the billet tail light bezels, billet side mirror, chrome grill, and chrome headlights.  Billet Specialties wheels are found on all 4 corners and are wrapped with fresh Dunlop low profile Sport 9000 tires. Getting those wheels spinning is a 383 stroker motor combined with a Turbo 350 transmission that was built to look just as well as it runs.  The valve covers and air cleaner were painted to match the metallic on the body giving them an almost Copper metal appearance that looks perfect.  These are then combined with a polished manifold, chrome alternator, billet mounting brackets and more.  An aluminum radiator is mounted in place along with the electric fan and polished fan shroud to keep the motor running cool at all times.  The rear end is entirely polished and the exhaust is routed underneath it exiting out of the rear in a single rectangular tip.   The interior of the car is easily up there with one of the nicest designed interiors out there in a Hiboy.  It was just completed and utilizes a combination of leather that is absolutely beautiful.  The darker of the colors matches the Copper on the body and a lighter Beige was used for a ribbing design on the seats and door panels.  It is truly a work of art.  Black VDO gauges are found on the dash and are nicely mounted in a polished bezel.  The dash features some custom pinstriping but other than that is free from any additional switches, etc to keep a really clean look.  The ignition switch was instead incorporated in to the custom center console.  A polished tilt steering column sits in front of the driver and is topped with a great looking polished billet steering wheel.  The trunk of the car is just as beautifully and artistically done as the inside incorporating the same style of upholstery work.  A custom center section was made to house and hide the battery and a custom Boydster plaque made for the trunk as well. Since being built the car has had zero issues getting attention or winning trophies.  People are drawn to it wherever it goes but with the recent work that has been done the car has been really taken to the next level.  It could easily be a national show winner and if you wanted to do exclusively big indoor shows the car would fit right in.  That being said it was built to be a great driver as well so if you prefer the local cruises it has no problem taking you there too.  Being offered for NOW REDUCED DOWN TO $77,400.00!

About Ford
Ford, founded in 1902, has arguably changed the history of automotive world more than any other car manufacturer by introducing the first people's car Model T in 1908. They had produced more than 15 million cars by the end of the production in 1927, by which T had become obsolete.

Ford launched the first low priced V8 engine powered car in 1932. 1932 V8 was an instant hit with superior handling and performance to many far more expansive cars of the day. No wonder 32 V8 Ford has become such a favourite among hot rodders around the world with 32 Deuce coupe as their icon.

During the war Ford completely shut down civilian vehicle production to dedicate all its resources to the Allied war efforts (1942-45) They used to build B-24 bombers, aircraft engines, jeeps, M-4 tanks, military trucks and Bren-gun carriers and more than 30,000 super-charged Rolls Royce Merlin V-12 engines for Mosquito and Lancaster bombers as well as P-51 Mustang fighters. After the war Ford cars in the USA got bigger and flashier along with their competitors. In the 60's Ford was back in the forefront again when introducing their commercial hit Mustang in 1964. Mustang was so popular the competition had to follow Ford's example and the ponycar phenomenon took over the US. Over the years the ponies grew some muscles until the oil crisis kill finally killed them off.

In the sixties Ford rushed into international motor sports scene with a fury. After unsuccessful Ferrari takeover, when Enzo Ferrari had cut the deal off with Henry Ford II making the latter absolutely boil with fury, Ford turned to Lola in UK to produce a Ferrari beating long distance racer after. The collaboration between Ford and Lola created the mighty Ford GT40 that absolutely beat Ferrari in Le Mans 24 numerous times.

In Europe, Ford introduced some of the most epic race and rally cars of the 60's based on humble family sedans; Cortina GT, Lotus Cortina, Escort Twin Cam, and Escort 1600RS with the iconic Cosworth BDA engines.

Today classic Fords are extremely popular with enthusiasts and a great selection of classic Fords can be found for sale at www.ClassicDigest.com
