We have acquired a lovely 1969 Jaguar E-type Series 2 4.2 “Fixed Head coupé” from the United States. It was sold when new by the New York Jaguar dealer. The first owner kept the car until 1980. The car was fully externally restored 2010. The E-Type was given a new coat of paint in the original “Signal Red” finish.Ever since the car has been well looked after. The bodywork is still in excellent condition with correct alignment of the body panels as well as the paintwork. Both bodywork and chassis are, of course, rust-free. During the restoration the car was also mechanically fully overhauled. The result of this is certainly obvious with a smooth running powerful engine. The 4-speed gearbox shifts well. In 2015 the interior trim, leather and carpets, was re-upholstered, and according to the invoice to the tune of $ 15,000,-. The car is all there with books, a lot of recent documentation and original tool kit. In short this is a very fine E-Type Series 2 with a fantastic 4.2 engine in great form.
