MG MGA 1959

General description : We have a very nice 1959 MG A 1500. The previous owner has owned it since 1997 and was also responsible for its restoration. Mechanically as well as visually the car remains in good shape. This previously restored car has been very well maintained ever since. The bodywork is in good condition. The nice and thin panelwork is correctly aligned. You can readily appreciate the effects of the restored chassis. There are some signs of normal use visible on the car in keeping with its age. The car has fine wire wheels with white-wall tyres. The interior trim consists of lovely black leather seats with red piping with nice black carpeting. The dashboard is similarly in fine condition. You look out at your great Smith instruments and three-spoke Mota-Lita steering wheel. The MG also has a well-fitting good quality hood. The rear-mounted luggage rack allows you to pack a little extra when on a long weekend tour. Mechanically it has been excellently maintained over the last years. The 1.5 litre develops 72 Ps attached to a 4-speed manual. Although not concourse the condition of the paintwork is above average. The engine has two air intakes and sounds great. The gearbox works precisely and both the good state of the brakes and suspension add to its enjoyable road holding character. The car comes with an extensive file with pictures of the restoration, a number of invoices, newspaper articles and general information relating to the car.
