General description :
De Triumph TR250 werd in bescheiden serie van 8484 stuks gebouwd welke allen werden verscheept naar de verenigde staten, naar schatting zijn er na 50 jaar nog ongeveer 600 exemplaren overgebleven. Dit specifieke exemplaar werd in het jaar 2000 voor het eerst in Nederland toegelaten. Een grondige restauratie werd uitgevoerd in 2001 en 2002 met een verbluffend resultaat! De carrosserie werd nieuw gespoten in de originele kleur Royal Blue (56), een schitterende en stijlvolle kleur welke het chroomwerk perfect naar voren brengt. De 'Minilite' lichtmetalen wielen verkeren in een keurige staat, hebben geen beschadigingen en zijn omhuld met goede Michelin banden. Ook het interieur werd grondig aangepakt en nieuw bekleed met zwart leder en een keurige witte bies. In het houten dashboard zijn de originele klokken aanwezig, het stuur werd vervangen door een sportiever exemplaar. Ook de techniek is over de jaren heen keurig verzorgd en goed onderhouden, de krachtige 6 cilinder motor loopt magnifiek en beschikt over voldoende potentie. De versnellingsbak is voorzien van een overdrive welke zorgt voor extra comfort en minder toeren, een heerlijke extra zeker bij langere ritten en hogere snelheden. We spreken hier over een TR met Surrey top ofwel een cabriolet met een targa achterruit constructie welke eventueel afneembaar is. In deze opzet blijven bestuurder en bijrijder zeer goed beschut tegen wind maar met de heerlijke beleving van open rijden. Ook is er een op maat gemaakt windscherm aanwezig welke zich gemakkelijk laat bevestigen boven op het frame van de voorruit. Tijdens de restauratie zijn een flink aantal foto's gemaakt die het proces goed weergeven, ter inzage zijn er 2 fotoalbums aanwezig evenals een overzicht van het uitgevoerde onderhoud van de afgelopen 10 jaren.
