Porsche 911 2.7 T 1973

General description : We have a fantastic 1973 Porsche 911 with less than 44,000 miles on the clock. As this car was an American issue, unlike its European counterpart it has fuel injection. The engine delivers 140Ps and runs as smooth as you could wish. The car comes with a so-called “Geburts Urkunde” This birth card shows us that the car still is in the same colour as when it left the factory in Stuttgart and above that, that the engine has matching numbers. Our “Bahia Rot” with synthetic black leather upholsterstery was supplied by the San Francisco based Porsche deanship. The car came with a Comfort Pack (code 470), heated front and rear windscreens (code477) and tinted glass (code568). This Porsche has also been fitted with the much loved 915 transmission. The car’s condition can only be described as impeccable. The lovely bodywork has perfect and correctly aligned panelwork. The Bahia Rot finish has been re-applied for cosmetic reasons only and is in very good shape. The Fuchs rims are also in very good condition. The interior is again wonderful, it has been meticulously re-upholstered and has that new 1973 showroom look with its perfect black synthetic upholstery and new matching carpets. All switches and instruments are in impeccable condition and, of course, in perfect working order. We could not find anything wrong with this car. Mechanically the car is also sound. The low mileage has meant that this 911has never required an overhaul. The previous owner did however invest over € 11.500,- (often preventative) in the 911’s maintenance. Many engine parts have been replaced, new Koni shocks were fitted and all fluids have been refreshed. The care and attention has paid dividend that is noticeable when behind the wheel. The engine runs perfectly, the gear change is extremely precise and the roadholding perfect. This is a fantastic, matching numbers, Porsche 911 T with impeccable body and moving parts. About Porsche 911 2.7
The Porsche 911 2.7 is a popular choice for hobbyist car enthusiasts due to its classic styling, excellent driving dynamics, and iconic status as one of the most recognizable sports cars of all time.

The 911 2.7 was produced from 1974 to 1977 and is known for its distinctive "ducktail" rear spoiler and its lightweight, agile handling. It was powered by an air-cooled, flat-six engine that produced 150-175 horsepower, depending on the model year.

For hobbyist car enthusiasts, the 911 2.7 can be a rewarding project due to its relatively simple mechanical design and the availability of aftermarket parts and upgrades. Restoring or modifying a 911 2.7 can be a challenging but rewarding experience, allowing enthusiasts to customize the car to their individual preferences and create a one-of-a-kind driving machine.

One potential drawback of the 911 2.7 as a hobbyist car is its age, which can lead to issues with rust, wear and tear, and mechanical problems. However, with proper care and maintenance, these issues can be addressed
