1970 Triumph Vitesse MKII Convertible
De Triumph Vitesse is een compacte auto met een 6-cilinder lijnmotor, ontworpen door Giovanni Michelotti (hij ontwierp verschillende modellen voor Ferrari, Lancia, Maserati en Triumph). Triumph bouwde de Vitesse als saloon en convertible tussen mei 1962 en 1971, als de sportieve variant van de Triumph Herald. Eerst werd de Vitesse geleverd met een 1.596 cc 6-cilinder lijnmotor, in 1966 kwam de update naar een 1.998 cc 6-cilinder. In oktober van het jaar 1968 werd het model nog eenmaal geüpdatet tot de Triump Vitesse MKII. De MKII werd voorzien van een achterwielophanging met nieuwe lower wishbones, een hoger motorvermorgen, Stromberg 150 CDS carburateurs, een nieuwe grill en een aangepast interieur. Triumph verkocht te Vitesse tot juli 1971.
Deze prachtige Triumph Vitesse MKII is body-off gerestaureerd in 2017. De restauratie is uitgevoerd door een Triumph specialist(in Nederland) in opdracht van de liefhebbende eigenaar. De auto is voorzien van een diep donkerblauwe lak, een nieuw zwart interieur, een nieuwe witte soft-top van vinyl en hood cover.
De 6-cilinder lijnmotor laat zich zeer soepel rijden in combinatie met de handgeschakelde 4-versnellingsbak met overdrive. Wanneer u op zoek bent naar een Triumph die zich in zeer goede staat bevindt dan nodigen we u van harte uit in onze showroom, waar deze auto te bezichtigen is.
