Exterior

Rosso Corsa over tan, an iconic Ferrari colour scheme that’s just as stunning today as it was back in 1984. The 308’s slender proportions and iconic wedge shape have aged undeniably well, and the quality of this particular example does not disappoint either. After a machine polish by our in-house detailer the paintwork presents with a deep and lustful shine, no off-colour panels, and no major blemishes other than a couple of discreetly touched-in chips. The removable roof panel also remains in excellent condition as do the black bumpers, rear louvres, trims, and badges.

Interior

The contrasting beige leather presents in very clean condition with a uniform colour across the board. The original Bordeaux carpets also look great and, in-line with the low mileage, present in very good condition. Other commonly worn areas such as the leather centre console and adjacent switchgear all present remarkably well. The car was spec’d from new with the rare air conditioning option which still blows nice and cold having just been re-gassed; the only other upgrade over standard is a discreet Alpine cassette radio.

ENGINE & TRANSMISSION

The car has just returned from a full mechanical check over and cambelt service at our trusted marque specialists, Rardley Motors. The previous service was carried out in June 2022 at 48,231 miles by Migliore Cars who have looked after this one since 2010. As to be expected the engine bay presents in very fine original condition, the car having always been maintained to a high standard by reputable classic Ferrari specialists.

History File

As 308s continue to appreciate in value the Quattrovalvole is fast-becoming one of the most sought-after models, and with only 233 right-hand drive GTS QVs produced for the UK market, low mileage examples such as this one are now very collectable.

Since purchasing the car in 2016 the current owner has spent in excess of £39,000 on maintenance and cosmetics; the result is what you see here – a beautifully presented and very useable “Magnum-spec” 308 GTS, ready to be driven and enjoyed.

The car’s provenance and maintenance history are well documented in the accompanying History File, which comprises the original leather Ferrari document wallet, owner’s manuals, service book, a thick raft of invoices (including the original bill of sale for £29,281), numerous MOT certificates, and a spare set of keys. It was ordered new through Maranello Sales, Egham, in January 1984 and has now driven a touch over 49k miles in the hands of only 6 registered keepers.

For the new owner’s peace of mind the car benefits from a very recent (December 2023) full mechanical inspection and shakedown by Rardley Motors Ferrari specialists in Liss. The invoice – totalling £5,156 – includes an annual service, cambelt change, and new Pirelli tyres all round. The advisory-free MOT is valid until May 2024.

Der erste Ferrari Straßenauto wurde die 125 S im Jahr 1947 eingeführt und angetrieben von einem 1,5 l-V12-Motor, oder?
Nun, es ist nicht ganz so einfach, Ferrari in der Tat produzieren e Tipo 815, 1940 Tipo 815 wurde von Ex-Alfa Romeo Ingenieure Alberto Massimino und Vittorio Bellentani und von Enrico Nardi gesellschafts Enzos aber juristische Probleme mit dem ehemaligen Partner Alfa Romeo entwickelt verhindert Ferrari vom Start der Ferrari marque an diesem Punkt.

Ohne Chiti und Bizzarrini die Entwicklung dessen, was war es, das die meisten Inbegriff Ferrari geworden und heute der weltweit teuerste Auto, 250 GTO wurde auf einem Drehpunkt. 250 GTO Projekt wurde von einem jungen Ingenieur Mauro Forghieri und langjähriger Renn Klempner Sergio Scaglietti, die in abgestuften und über das Programm mit bekannten Ergebnissen nahm gespeichert.
